Dr Rajiv Shah
MBBS (Syd) FRANZCO
Dr Rajiv Shah is a Sydney University Graduate and trained in General Ophthalmology at Sydney Eye Hospital before undertaking an advanced fellowship position in the Glaucoma Unit at Moorfields Eye Hospital in London in 2000-2001. He is currently a VMO at St Vincents Hospital as well as Bankstown Hospital, running Glaucoma clinics and Operating lists at both institutions. He is a clincal lecturer at the Macquarie University School for Advanced Medicine. He also has private practices at Bankstown, Eastwood, St Vincents and Wollongong and operates privately at Bankstown Hospital as well as The Epping Surgery Centre and Wollongong Day Surgery. He is actively involved in registrar training and teaching and is an active member of the Australian and New Zealand Glaucoma Interest Group (ANZGIG). He regularly attends and presents at general and subspecialty meetings.
He is currently co editor of the glaucoma chapter in Clinical Evidence (an evidenced based clinical textbook published by the BJO). Dr Shah performs all types of anterior segment surgery including topical, microincisional phacoemulsification cataract surgery and has a special interest in Angle Closure Glaucoma and the Surgical and Laser treatments for Glaucoma.
